A tournament with a distinguished tradition

The 2027 European Amateur Team Championship continues the legacy of one of the oldest team competitions in European amateur golf. Since 1959, the championship has featured players who later shaped the world game, including Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Åberg.

Format of play

The championship brings together 16 qualified national teams and is contested over five days. On the King’s Course, a combination of stroke play and match play will demand precision, tactical awareness and dependable team performance from the opening tee shot to the final putt.
